Store Opening Project Coordinator - Retail
About the job
As a Project Management Intern, you’ll support the Operations team with a variety of projects related to store openings, shop-in-shops, maintenance, and process development. You’ll gain exposure to every step of retail expansion, from initial planning to final installation, while helping keep projects running smoothly and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage the end-to-end process of multiple new store openings, from design kick-off to handover to operations;
Guide and support the franchise process and ensure smooth openings for new partners;
Oversee the roll-out of shop-in-shops with retail partners, safeguarding the Atelier Munro brand identity in every environment;
Safeguard the Atelier Munro retail concept by ensuring consistency in quality, brand expression, and customer experience;
Oversee construction on-site, including site visits, progress checks, stakeholder alignment, and reporting to the Head of Operations;
Take ownership of the project CAPEX budget: from initial forecast to procurement, negotiations, and final settlement;
Manage procurement and order flows, ensuring timely delivery of fixtures, fittings, and materials;
Coordinate and motivate external partners such as architects, contractors, engineers, and suppliers;
Identify project risks, challenges, and proactively propose solutions;
Deliver clear communication and progress reporting across all stakeholders;
This role combines planning with hands-on execution on site.
About you
You bring:
4-6 years of experience in project management for international retail construction;
A relevant degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, Construction Management, or similar;
Strong organizational and multitasking skills — you can manage multiple projects, budgets and timelines simultaneously;
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; you know how to align creatives, contractors, and business partners;
A hands-on mentality and the ability to work independently as well as in a team;
Negotiation skills and the confidence to steer diverse stakeholders;
The ability to perform under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines;
Willingness to travel internationally and flexibility beyond a strict 9-to-5 schedule;
Fluently speaking in English (Dutch is a plus).
