The Product Manager Knitwear is part of the Product Team and plays a critical role in delivering Munro’s objectives in product quality, delivery reliability, and cost efficiency.

The role includes responsibility for production performance across ateliers, as well as contribution to product development within the business.

The Product Manager reports to the Product Team Lead and is accountable for operating within agreed budgets and timelines, proactively flagging any deviations.

Job responsibilities include:

Production & Operations

  • Oversee atelier workflows to ensure consistency in order flow, manufacturing, quality, and delivery timelines;

  • Optimize production efficiency to achieve best-in-class lead times without compromising quality;

  • Manage and continuously improve processes related to inbound shipments, stock control, production flow, packing, and outbound logistics;

  • Monitor capacity planning and proactively address constraints in collaboration with internal teams. 

Quality & Craftsmanship

  • Uphold and continuously reinforce Munro’s quality standards and sartorial excellence across all ateliers;

  • Drive ongoing quality improvements based on structured priority plans and performance reviews;

  • Ensure correct implementation of materials, trimmings, and technical specifications;

  • Act as a key link between ateliers and technical teams to resolve product issues and improve workmanship.

    Cost & Budget Management

  • Negotiate CM (Cost of Making) pricing with ateliers and monitor cost evolution;

  • Support budgeting processes and ensure alignment with margin targets;

  • Track and manage cost deviations, providing timely insights and corrective actions.

Performance Management & Analysis

  • Define, track, and review KPIs including quality, delivery performance, and stock management;

  • Analyze customer complaints, production inefficiencies, and stock performance, translating insights into actionable improvement plans;

  • Lead regular performance reviews with ateliers and internal stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Development, Sales, Buying, Logistics, Purchasing, and Customer Operations to ensure product reliability;

  • Support Customer Operations in managing special requests and exceeding client expectations;

  • Maintain strong relationships with technicians, quality control teams, and suppliers.

Product Development & Innovation

  • Ensure smooth implementation of new product developments (NTNS) within ateliers;

  • Support the development and production of new product categories, including footwear;

  • Contribute to sourcing and onboarding of new ateliers in collaboration with the Production Team Lead.

CSR & Compliance

  • Ensure all production partners comply with CSR standards, certifications, and audit requirements;

  • Support onboarding processes and maintain adherence to supplier guidelines and policies.

About you

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Engineering, Manufacturing, or Fashion/Textile Management;

  • 5–10 years of experience in menswear product or production management;

  • Strong technical expertise in high-end menswear construction, materials, and finishing;

  • Proven ability to manage complex production environments with multiple stakeholders;

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills;

  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities;

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement;

  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of luxury standards;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production-related systems;

  • Fluent in English - additional languages are a plus;

  • Willingness to travel internationally.
